It’s time for scrap-busting with a fun and easy technique that will transform your pile of remnants into something usable and totally giftable.
In this Quilt-As-You-Go Zipper Pouch Sew Fun Saturday you’ll learn how to cut your scraps down into pieces that are suitable for the quilt-as-you-go (qayg) method, then apply them to a layer of wadding to create completely unique fabric panels that we’ll transform into zipper pouches.
Fabrics & Zips are provided withion the price but feel free to bring along any scraps of fabric (avoid stretchy fabrics) that you have at home that are bigger than 5cm. You can use smaller scraps if you’re feeling brave, but remember that you need to account for a quarter inch (0.5cm) seam all the way around. Choose fabrics that bring you joy! We have plenty of free remnants that can be used if you dont have any of your own.
This course is suitable for all levels of sewing experience, even complete beginners, and there’ll be plenty to keep more experienced sewers busy. You can bring your own fabric stash and favourite fabrics to use, or purchase discounted fabrics on the day from the incredible collection available at the Dressmakers Fabrics shop.
