With a nod to the classic dirndl skirt this easy-to-wear design by Leigh General Store is a versatile addition to any wardrobe. Adaptable for any season - according to your fabric choice - this flattering design with soft pleats at the front and elasticated gathers at the back suits all sorts of styling. You can customise your skirt by varying the fullness and length as Liz will show you how to make these changes in our workshop session.
Best of all, try our sample sizes in the studio and adapt your own look - short and sweet, or full and longer. This skirt is a quick win addition to your capsule wardrobe..
Suitable fabrics include linen, chambray, seersucker, gingham, cotton lawn/poplin, double gauze, viscose challis, polyester crepe and needlecord.
Fabric Requirements: 2m fabric for below-the-knee finished length, plus 25mm wide elastic which is half the finished waist measurement in length.
